We Fund Ventures has launched a $10 million fund for film projects and creative-industry technology, the-tech.kz reported on 8 September 2026. It will work with projects from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries.

$5 million is earmarked for film production and production infrastructure. The other $5 million goes to tech startups: AI for production, tools for content creators, distribution platforms, media services and gaming technology.

The fund was created with the public foundation We Fund. Aizhan Alisherova, its director, is a co-founder, and entrepreneur Timur Tilenov is managing partner. The fund plans to help portfolio companies enter the US, the UAE and Uzbekistan.

Why it matters

Creative technology is a new focus for venture money in the region. The fund's first public event was the Build Global hackathon in Osh on 8–11 October 2026, where its team took part with mentors and a jury.
